Clouds Come from Time to Time

(Snow in the Countryside, 1909, woodcut by Kamisaka
Sekka, 1862-1942, Japanese artist)

Clouds come from time to time
and bring to me a chance to rest
from looking at the moon.

~ Matsuo Bashō (1644-1694), Japanese master of the haiku, whose work would later influence Western poets like Ezra Pound

Thank you. Reading this poem today at this very hour made me feel strong, capable, something so different that words are not enough. All I can say is that I am here at a forgotten part of the world all by myself and your work/effort inspired me to go on. Thank you.
